I was planning on doing it last weekend but it was 3 degrees(C) and snowing when we woke up so we passed on the pass. (btw -and fyi for those who are looking for some excellent rides in Canada – the highway is closed to vehicles ’till June 15 every year – couple a 100 k of nice paved road and you’re only bound to meet other cyclists and the occasional elk. It’s also the highest place you can ride to in the whole country-at least on pavement- at 2227 m)
It’s an amazing ride, and if you really want to put in some BIG km’s you can loop around to Longview and back into Calgary from the South. EPIC 300km.
