it would have been a crying shame if you didnt take the moots to the podium. it seemed obvious you even had a strategy, let the race settle, then start putting the pressure on, very belgian.
still it was good to see a self-proclaimed roadie show some handling skills on the loose stuff, certainly not too many of them about.

Not PRO. Total wankerville.

So is showing up to a cross race with a titanium Moots while everyone else is on singlespeeds and baggy shorts. Not sure if I would look more like a dork for winning, or not winning! ;-)

I'll definitely be posting a race report on Australia's first "good" cross race on Monday. I'm sure Fyxomatosis will be doing a better job at it than I will. Check back on Monday for full coverage

As for results, I was pretty much the only one there with gears on my bike so I took the title. Wasn't easy though - Shifter Dan was leading for a while and was always right on my tail.

banning some roads in peak hour .... this can't be serious. Peak hour in melbourne and sydney at least are just huge car parks with banked up traffic. This is perfectly safe for cyclists. Infact I prefer to ride in peak hour because of this. Motorists should applaud every cyclist they see bacause its one less car on the road - holding them up on their journey......... I've never seen a bunch of cyclists causing a traffic jam

Now bike paths ... some of them are seriously dangerous

good ride tonight WW, good to see a strong turn out to support a new and up and coming form of cycling here in OZ, let's hope the next one can bring even more riders!

And over time I think the more people who ride on the weekends for fitness that then drive to work during the week, the safer we will be. BUT, do we have that amount of time???? Govnerment spend bilions on drink driving but still people continue to drink and drive. And therefore the cyclist v's driver battle may always be around to some respect. So if we can all try and do the right things then I hope we all come out of it safely :)
