How much does a soigneur get paid? I’m guessing it isn’t very much but maybe they get a percentage of the pot like golf caddies do?

Interesting video. Looks like those guys are pretty damn busy… Anyone know how many Soigneurs a team would have traveling with them? (I guess it would be dependent on which race it was obviously so i guess i’m looking for an average)

As a former Soigneur I can tell you it’s a SHIT job and very thankless!
You get paid between 70-110 euro a day when you should get atleast 250 minimum.
You work 16 hours a day and that does not include getting to the event………..which can take up to 20 hours sometimes.
    Good video though…..

@Fixedgear.sorry no percentage!  but you might get a jersey.

Thank you Sat Nav, On one hand I’m shocked it can even be under 100E a day, especially seeing all the things a soigneur has to be skilled at – some physiotherapy knowledge, a god at massage, sports food preparation and then just being able to be everywhere at once at never needing to sleep. On the other hand though with the amount of greed at the highest levels with the bosses at the UCI, the managers and the rider’s agents all with their snouts in the trough it doesn’t surprise me that the money in the sport doesn’t trickle down to the guys on the ground working behind the scenes to make it all happen.
